Romsey Children’s Choir will be open to children from year 3 to year 6, though year 2 pupils will be taken in exceptional circumstances. We will sing a broad range of songs from the secular and sacred traditions and are proud of our links with the Romsey Abbey Choirs – which we hope many of our children will go on to join.

Initially, we will rehearse in Romsey on a Thursday after school from 5.15pm for 45 minutes. We envisage that older children may be invited to stay a little longer once the choir is established.

Auditions are held informally. We offer children the chance to sing in for a couple of weeks to get more comfortable before they are asked to sing a few lines of a song to us at the end of a rehearsal.

Our curriculum will focus on fostering a love of group singing as well as promoting musical literacy and a wide experience of musical styles.

Termly subscriptions will reflect our operating costs. Our aim is to keep them as low as possible.

If you are interested in membership for your child, please call us on 01794 324915 or email us using our contact form.
