Music Intuition is run by its founders, whose biographies appear below:
Alice Wratten
studied Cultural Studies with Music at Birmingham University (Music Performance, 1st Class), and went on to study at
Birmingham Conservatoire, obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Vocal Performance. In 2006, Alice won a bursary from
the Weingarten Foundation to study at the Kodály Institute in Kecskemét, Hungary. During her year in Hungary, Alice
specialised in vocal performance and music education, benefitting from coaching with Roland Hajdu and János Klezli.
Alice has now returned to her home county of Hampshire and works as a performer and teacher. She performs regularly
with fiancé David and as a soloist with local choral societies and orchestras. Alice teaches singers from beginner to advanced
and draws on her experience of Kodály musicianship to teach theory and aural. She holds positions at Brockwood School
and Purbrook Park School and is vocal coach to Hampshire County Youth Choir.
David Coram is head of keyboard studies at Bournemouth University and Assistant Organist at Romsey Abbey,
working with the renowned Abbey choirs. He was born near Devizes, Wiltshire
where his early musical training took shape at Dauntsey’s school under the wing of Nicholas Hale, David’s first

in Oxford and, more recently has enjoyed the influence of David Briggs, with whom he has been studying improvisation.
His 2006-7 season saw him give recitals across the UK and abroad and release a CD of the Romsey Abbey organ. He is director of Ethelflaeda's Voices
and accompanist to six choral societies, including (as a volunteer) Hampshire County Youth Choir.
He teaches organ, piano, accompaniment, music theory, aural skills, composition, improvisation and is co-director of Romsey
Children’s Choir. David is also one of our chamber music coaches.
